Revlon ColourStay Foundation | A Must Have!

When it comes around to that time to buy foundation I always dread it because I struggle buying my shade, being pale most of the lightest shades from drugstores are ivory and tend to have a slight warmer tone to them which I need more of a cooler tone so I tend to go to the more higher end foundations, the only drugstore foundation that i’ve yet got on with is the Boujour Healthy Mix.

I have used Revlon’s Colour Stay foundation in the past, the version without a pump, but it really didn’t get on with my skin, I don’t know if it was a bad batch or something but I found it impossible to blend and it was so thick. A couple of weeks ago I was wandering round Boots swatching different foundations and came across ColourStay again, I tried the pump version and this seemed better suited for me.

Revlon’s ColourStay foundation (£12.99) has 35 different shades and all suitable for all skin types covering dry/normal and combination/oily.

“ColorStay™ Makeup now with a convenient pump applicator for mess free application. Flawless, matte coverage that lasts up to 24 hours.”

I picked up combination/oily in the shade ivory, as i’ve mentioned above ivory tends to be warmer, but this is definitely toned down, it is better suited for my skin without being ghostly white. The foundation is quite thin, which one pump does my whole face sometimes less than that, it is really lightweight and provides medium coverage which is easily buildable without getting that cakey look.

I tend to have quite a bit of redness and dark circles, this foundation works wonders to even out my skin tone leaving me with a fresh and matte looking base. I can honestly vouch for the foundation being long lasting, I can apply the foundation approximately 3pm and work a 12 1/2 hour night shift and it’s still perfect in the morning without looking oily making me look better than I feel.

This honestly is my new favourite and will always have a spot in my makeup bag.

What’s your favourite drugstore foundation?

Cohorted My Little Treat Boxing Day Edition

After being absolutely spoilt rotten at Christmas my husband surprised me with an extra present, I had been eyeing up Cohorted’s My Little Treat Boxing Day Edition box since I saw it on their website. I have subscribed to Cohorted before and received their February box so I know this would be amazing as the rest, their Boxing Day box costs £50 which includes a total of eight high end full sized products worth £168.

Whats in the box?

Urban Decay Naked 2 Eyeshadow Palette, Cohorted Flat Eyeshadow Brush, Cohorted Domed Eyeshadow Brush, Cohorted Crease Blender Brush, MAC Upward Lash Mascara, Bobbi Brown Illuminating Blush Powder, Bella Pierre Mineral Lipstick  & Smith & Cult Nail Polish

This jam packed Boxing Day edition box included a nice range of different high beauty products which is always good to see and an absolute bargain for £50, you’ve pretty much made your money back from the Urban Decay palette & one Cohorted brush.

Included in the box was the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette (£38.50), when it comes to the Naked palettes there is probably a handful of bloggers that do not own one of these beauties, I have been eyeing it up for quite a while now but like most things I never got round to buying it, so i’m so glad it was included in the box. Neutrals are probably my go to eyeshadows, they really compliment my blue eyes so they are definitely in for a treat with 12 gorgeous shades.

Also in the box it includes three of Cohorted’s own makeup brushes (£12 each), i’ve seen a lot of these brushes storming the beauty world in the last few months so i’m excited to give them a whirl, I think they might take a bit of getting used to as they’re a different angle compared to your standard brushes.

Next up is Bobbi Brown Illuminating Blush Powder  – Maui (£28.50) which is a pink coral and honestly beyond stunning *drools* it gives me that gorgeous subtle rosy glow which instantly brightens up my face and leaves me looking slightly less vampy.

What’s a beauty box without a mascara! I’m really excited to try the MAC Lash Mascara – Upward Black (£19) as it claims to be volumising, curling, clump free and lifting which is a big claim to make.

Bella Pierre Mineral Lipstick – Envy (£15.99) was included in the box, In my opinion a girl can never own too many lipsticks, well that’s what I like to tell myself.  I swear I have so many different brands all in the same shade but of course I have to have them all.  The shade envy that was included isn’t really a shade that I would go for but it might look quite nice in the summer as it is a nude shade.

Last but not least I’m a sucker for nail polish, I always feel naked without any on but then as soon as I wash up it just chips away leaving them looking ugly so I’m excited to try Smith & Cult Nail Polish – Regret The Moon (£19). It’s actually the first time I’ve heard of this brand but the shade is subtle and stunning perfect for any jobs that don’t really like you wearing obvious makeup & nail varnish.

Winter Is Coming!

Afternoon ladies & gents!

I’m back, well.. sort of. I’ve had a HUGE break away from blogging as you may have realised, there has been a hell of a lot going on lately. We’ve recently moved homes from Manchester to Wales, so of course with that comes a new job etc, unfortunately blogging has had to take a back seat.

So here goes, I thought a wintery kind of post would be perfect for my first post back as it is starting to get to those colder months. The perfect time of year in my opinion, I absolutely love my knitted jumpers, cosy movie nights with the room filled with spicy smelling candles & hot chocolates. I recently took a trip to town to pick up a couple of essentials to help me survive these colder months and thought I would share them with your lovely selves.

I headed over to H&M firstly and picked up a lovely thin high neck knitted jumper (£14.99), I instantly fell in love with this. If you know me personally then you will know I have a love for grey things, so of course this would be in my basket. What I love about this jumper is it’s thin but yet still keeps me really warm so i’m not sweating buckets whilst walking around. I also picked up a long chunky knit cardigan (£14.99) which is a lovely blend of white and black wool, it comes down to my knees which in my opinion it’s a must for those who like comfortable clothing. I think I might have to go back and grab the dark grey & black version.

I also headed over to Boots, because you just have to right!? I can’t seem to help myself when I go into there. I just want everything *wishes money grew on trees*. I headed over to the Sleek makeup section as I’ve been seeing their matte lipsticks around so I thought I’d test them out. I really liked the selection of colours but felt a little indecisive of which full sized version to purchase. I ended up having a little nosey at their Christmas gift selection and there was a 3ml 4 piece The Magic Word mini matte me liquid lipsticks set (£5.00). It had a variety of minis which was absolutely perfect and just £5, bargain! Can’t really complain at that!? So that definitely found its way into my basket. As mentioned they are 3ml each and come in Birthday Suit, Velvet Slipper, Rioja Red And Old Hollywood. I headed back over to their makeup section because they didn’t have one of the colours I liked in the minis and grabbed Vino Tinto in the full size (£4.99).

I lastly grabbed another jumper from Primark, they’ve got a really nice selection of knitted jumpers this year in stunning autumn colours, which I really cannot resist! I’ve already complied a list of what’s next to buy. It’s just a simple burgundy high necked jumper which I think was £12, it’s super soft and quite thin but it keeps me nice and toasty and the same time. I also grabbed a new scarf (£5), I absolutely love scarves and grey things like I mentioned so it was a must have! It’s really soft and quite wide so you can really wrap it round you and make you feel super cosy.

Lastly I wandered over to Superdrug and grabbed a couple of other items which were pretty much essentials. I grabbed MUA Eye Define Felt Liner (£2), Garnier Skin Naturals Micellar Cleansing Water  (£4.99) and Leafy and Lovely hand cream (£3).

Do you have anything on your winter wish list?

Lush Toothy Tabs!

Apologies for the lack of posts lately ladies & gents, I have been working block shifts so i’ve not really had time to do any blogging. I am hoping in a couple of weeks I shall get back into my blogging routine. Anyway, onto today’s post..

For the past month or so I have been trialing different Lush toothy tabs that they currently offer in their stores featuring Dirty, Sparkle, Atomic (£2.50) and many more.  If you don’t know what toothy tabs are then they are basically an natural alternative for toothpaste, you take one of the tabs and crush it inbetween your teeth to which they instantly froff up ready for you to brush your teeth.

I didn’t really toothy tabs such as Dirty and Sparkle in my opinion I couldn’t really taste anything but bicarbonate soda which for me was really off putting when brushing my teeth. I did however manage to settle with Atomic, being a huge cinnamon fan these were definitely the ones for me and no taste of bicarbonate soda in sight!

If your a follower of my blog then you will have probably seen my post on Lush Oxford Street, I saw that they had a whole new range of toothy tabs which included Miles of Smiles, Lime Light, Bling and Oral Pleasure. I went straight ahead and smelt Lime Light instantly falling in love with the citrusy scent, I HAD to buy these. When I finally got home after about 5 bloody hours of travelling I cracked the bottle open and tested these beauties out, my mouth was in heaven! They tasted so good, good enough to eat even, so brushing my teeth is now a joy and they’re cruelty free so what more could you want.

Finally just a quick note on packaging, I cannot thank whoever decided to swap to plastic containers enough, they are a godsend! I was constantly getting sick of my tabs going soft and damp due to the moisture in my bathroom and the previous cardboard packaging.

What’s your favourite Lush product?

Cohorted Beauty Box February

Cohorted Beauty Box (£19.99)

As soon as I heard about Cohorted releasing their first beauty box on Which Beauty Box UK’s blog I knew I had to get my hands on it. If you do not know what Cohorted is then they are a company that hosts weekly deals on high end beauty products every Monday at 6pm.

Unfortunately for you guys this box has sold out of the February edition with only 100 boxes that were available to purchase on the day. This beauty box offers what many do not, high end cult beauty products for a fantastic price of £19.99 a month.  I headed over to Cohorted at 6pm when the box was released, I was literally refreshing for 30 mins to be able to purchase a box. There were major technical problems which was no surprise as they had launched their new website that day and their first ever beauty box. Though thankfully I managed to grab one and was super excited to see what was in it.

When I received the box I was amazed at the packaging, a gorgeous thick matte black carded box which also had a magnetised flap and black ribbon, it gave the feel and look of luxury before I even saw the contents.

First up in the box was the Korres Quercetin & Oak Eye Primer (£10.00), I was impressed with the packaging of this product, I am literally in love! It has a gorgeous dark brown metal lid which is a lovely touch to this product in my opinion. Whilst applying the primer it has a pale peach colour and feels really creamy, though whilst blending the primer in the feels powdery. I am forever battling with my eyeshadow and eyeliner creasing which is a huge pain in the butt! Though after using this product not only does it brighten my dark circles and my eyeshadow it makes it stay put for hours and crease free.

Next I received the Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara (£8) I have never tried anything from Bobbi Brown before so I was super excited when this product was included in the box. I am a sucker for mascara and this particular one delivers dramatically dark, stretched-out lashes. I absolutely adore the thick brush as it glides through every single lash adding lots of volume to them. I have also found that you can easily build layers until your desired look without your lashes being clumped together.

Another beauty cult that was included in the box was the Dolce & Gabbana Clarifying Lotion (£20.00), OH MY I was instantly in love and what’s better it is the full sized product. The stunning glass bottle and gold lid feels expensive and luxury. This clarifying lotion acts as a 3-in-1 it removes your make-up, dead skin whilst giving an exfoliating treatment! I am super excited to give this a whirl.

The fourth product that was in this Cohorted beauty box was the Skincare Korres Milk Proteins Foaming Cleanser (£15). I really love my skincare products so I was really excited to try this out. This cleanser calms dry skin whilst removing any traces of dirt and makeup. It smells really fresh and lathers up great leaving my skin feeling super soft and dirt free. What is even better about this product is that it is free of any parabens, sulphates and phthalates.

Last but not least is the Benefit Ultra Plush Lipgloss Bella Bamba (£14.50), I have never been one for lipgloss I have always preferred lipstick but this smells amazing, I love the watermelon scent it is literally good enough to eat. I really like the packaging of Benefit’s products especially this one, it is really cute with the palm tree print. This lipbalm gives my lips a slight red tint and a glossy shine, what I like about this product it doesn’t feel thick and sticky it feels really nice to wear and is quite moisturising.

There you have it, Cohorted’s first cult beauty box and what a great box it is with the contents totalling £67.50. This beauty box is definitely my number 1 favourite of the couple I have tried out so far, it has offered cult beauty brands some being full sized and some nice sized samples at a great price of £19.99. I shall definitely have to get my hands on their March box.

Did you manage to grab Cohorted’s first box? What did you think?

Glossybox February

Glossybox February Edition (£10 + P&P)

For those who do not know, Glossybox is a monthly subscription costing £10 plus P&P which allows you to try out 4-6 different products (some full sized) ranging from hair to skincare. All subscribers got a sneak peak in their January box that they would all receive the Royal Apothic Tinties which I was excited for from seeing the privew.

Apologies for the late Glossybox post, I know it would have been suitable for Valentines day oops. I absolutely loved this months Glossybox packaging, it was perfect for Valentines day with the gorgeous pink printed lettering for the box lid. Unfortunately for you guys this months box has sold out.

This months Glossybox included 5 full sized products which was a lovely treat, with the added bonus of a packet of love hearts (YUMMY) to fit in with the Valentines theme. Right, enough rambling time to reveal the contents of the box.

So in this months box I received the Wilkinson Sword Hydro Silk (£9.99), because I do not wax I am forever needing new razors! (hair is a huge pain in the butt!) so I was  really happy that this was included in the box, plus it helps you pamper and prepare for your Valentines night. I also received the MARSK Mineral Eyeshadow – Fifty Shades (£14.49) Hi-5 to Glossybox for included a Fifty Shades themed product in this months box. I absolutely adore the shade of this mineral eyeshadow, I am a sucker for greys and it just looks simply stunning on. I have found that this eyeshadow is easily blended which is always a bonus and creates a great smokey eye look.

As teased in the January box the Royal Apothic Tinties – Coral ($14) was included to every subscriber, I absolutely adore the rose gold packaging on the lid and the outer box packaging is beautiful.  This lip tint is a subtle coral colour which looks gorgeous matched with my pale skin, it also has a trio of oils to moisturise your lips. This Royal Apothic Tinties has now become my handbag favourite. Speaking of rose gold, I received this So Susan Rose Quartlet Lip & Cheek Palette (£8) which comes in a gorgeous black palette with rose gold writing on the lid. Upon first impressions of this palette it does look quite cheap, like what you would get in a child’s makeup set, now that might just be me and this may not be the case with the full sized product. Though that being said, I do like the shades that are in this lip and cheek palette especially the red it is gorgeous on.

Last but not least I received the Got2Be All Start 10 in 1 Styling (£4.07), the packaging is so vibrant with them using metallic purple and green, you can definitely not miss this if you lost it. I am definitely excited to use this product as I hate my hair being flat and lifeless so it will be interesting to find out what kind of looks it creates.

Overall, I am definitely pleased with this months box! It has included 5 full sized products which is always nice to receive. My favourite products of the box have to be the MARSK Mineral Eyeshadow and Royal Apothic Tinties, these are both brands that I have never heard of and I am certainly glad I have tried them.

Have you received the February Glossybox? What was your favourite product?

January Favourites

This post is a long one so I do apologise in advance, it is a mix between my favourite skincare and makeup bits at the minute.

First up is nail polishes, I bought both ‘Autumn Spice’ and ‘Wild Violets’ of the Revlon Parfumerie range (£6.49) from Boots which you can see the review on my ‘Mini Boots Haul’ post here. I absolutely adore both of these shades and I have been constantly switching between them ever since I purchased them. Both of these nail polishes have definitely creeped on to my bedside table.

My favourite skincare products have to start off with Lush’s 9 to 5 Cleanser (£5.10) is definitely at the top of my favourites list, it feels incredibly gentle on my skin, whilst it moisturises my skin it also removes all the dirt and makeup. I have also been loving Lush Tea Tree Toner Water (£7.95) whilst I have been using this product for the past month or so I definitely have noticed a difference in my skin and less spots. My skin feels fresh and squeaky clean after using this product, I usually use it after using my Lush 9 to 5 Cleanser.

Next up on the skincare list is Lush Enchanted Eye Cream (£12.50) this is definitely my go to product at the minute, I usually store this in the fridge and use it day and night as it makes a difference when cold, it really does freshen and waken me up. Another skincare product that I cannot stop using is Clinique Liquid Soap (£16) I find that this makes my skin feel super clean, without stripping the protective oils which is a bonus.

Now onto makeup, one of my all time favourite blushers is the RMK Matte Shiny Cheeks 01 (£30) from the packaging right down to the blusher I seriously can not find any flaws with this product, it creates a subtle glow on my skin and definitely perks up my face. My other favourite go to blusher ever since October is the Essence Hello Autumn Multi Colour Powder – Autumn in the City (£3.25) the design is just beautiful. The palette is packed full of autumn leaves packed with different shades of whites and browns leaving a gorgeous subtle shimmer on your cheeks. My favourite foundation at the moment has to be Lush’s Jackie Oates (£9.50), I love how this foundation is really light on my skin and matches my skin tone perfectly.

Ever since testing out Glo & Ray products I have fallen well and truly in love with their La Amo Creamy Shimmer Lip – Mysterious 640 (£12), This is an absolutely stunning shade of red, I really do love how it compliments my skin and the lasting power.

One of my all time favourite eyeshadow palettes of this month is the Glo & Ray’s Mariposa Eyeshadow Palette – Violet Emotion 400 (£12), this palette is highly pigmented and creates a gorgeous purple and grey smokey eye look. Makeup Revolution has definitely been one of my favourite brands for the past couple of months, I absolutely love their products. So this Makeup Revolution – Redemption Hot Smoked Palette (£4) is definitely one of my favourites, I just love all the shades it is perfect for both a night and day look. Ever since winning Miss Makeup Magpie’s Instagram competition for the Too Faced A La Mode Palette (£) this has also been a favouriteI have been in love with it ever since I love both the shades and pigments. In terms of other eye products I have been grabbing the Essence Liquid Ink Matte (£2.80) a lot, I have found this to be one eyeliner that does not smudge, budge or fade all day, it literally just stays put.

What are your January favourites?

Smooch Cosmetics

I was kindly sent a number of items of Smooch Cosmetics from Aqua PR to review, I had never heard of this brand before so I was excited to give them a whirl. From a bit of searching around I have found this to be a budget brand so it is great for those wanting to save a few pennies after the January sales.

If you also have not heard of Smooch Cosmetics before then below lays out what the company is about.

“Cosmetics with Sex Appeal”

“Smooch Cosmetics, known for their saucy, lacy packaging and highly desirable range of colours. The concept came, quite simply, from a drawer of lingerie. The idea was to create a lust worthy cosmetics brand that was saucy and sexy without being salacious.

Launched in 2011 Smooch Cosmetics currently create products for Eyes, Face, Lips and Nails. Who needs shades of grey when we have over 50 shades of pink, red, plum, purple…..?

At Smooch it’s all about confidence. We love our packaging but know that if we were to peel back the lace you’d still have a product that helps you to look good and feel great.”

*Lipstick – Inferno

Unfortunately I am unable to quote the price of this lipstick as Smooch Cosmetics website is currently being updated. The lipstick comes in a gorgeous matte packaging with their logo printed on the lid and the shade on the base of the lipstick. I absolutely adore this shade, it has orange undertones and is definitely eye catching and bright perfect for my pale skin. This lipstick has a lovely creamy texture which is great as it does not cling to the dry skin on my lips however as for lasting power it does fade quite quickly, so quite a number of touch ups is required.

*Lipstick – Gossip

Considering this is quite a pinkish lipstick which I try and steer away from as it is not really my colour it does look really nice on. The formula for this lipstick is again really creamy so it does not emphasise those dry lips but infact moisturises them, the only thing really that I have found a problem with them is they do not stay put for very long.

*Blusher – Peachy (RRP £2.45)

This duo blush is in the shade ‘Peachy’ which one shade is quite a light shimmery peach shade and the other is a matte darker peach colour, I have found that they are super blendable which is great as it does not look like a big peach patch on your cheeks. The pigmentation of these blushers are intense so a little bit really does go a long way!

*Eyeshadow – Social Butterfly (RRP £0.94)

Again the eyeshadow duo comes in a matte packaging with their logo printed on the lid, what I like about this product already is that it is compact which means it is perfect to carry around in your handbag for touchups, if needed. It also has a nice sized mirror included which is also definitely perfect for those on the go touch ups. When I first saw the price of this palette I was not sure how good it would be, as it is 94p! But the shades are two stunning shimmery shades of purple; they really do compliment one another creating a gorgeous smoky eye look. The pigment of the shades are fantastic, full of colour with just one stroke across your eye lids, they are also great for blending.

Overall, considering the prices of these products the quality is actually pretty reasonable, the pigmentation of each product is intense, though the lasting power is not that great. But for a couple of pounds can you really complain?

Mini Boots Haul

PicMonkey Collage

A couple of weeks ago I headed over to my local Boots store to do a mini haul, as for months I have been eyeing up the ‘Revlon Parfumerie’ polishes but never got round to actually buying some and was in desperate need for some new concealer.

Revlon Parfumerie Polish – Autumn Spice (RRP £6.49)

This nail polish is ‘Autumn Spice’, the shade is quite a shimmery copper colour it is gorgeous on and smells even better too. The scent is quite sweet but not sickly, it smells of cinnamon which is one of my favourite scents. In terms of longevity of the scent, it lasts a good couple of days which also survives through washing my hands a numerous amount of times due to my job which I am really impressed with as I thought prior to buying them the lasting power wouldn’t be that great. With regards to longevity of staying power without chipping it does last about a day or so without a top coat, but don’t let this put you off purchasing it. As I mentioned above, due to my day job I have to constantly wash my hands so naturally that would chip away at the nail polish.. I seriously need to invest in a good top coat!

Revlon Parfumerie Polish – Wild Violets (RRP £6.49)

This nail polish is ‘Wild Violets’, the shade is a deep purple which I absolutely adore! The scent of this nail polish is quite perfumey but is not overpowering, it has quite a fresh smell to it. Again this meets the same criteria as ‘Autumn Spice’ in terms of longevity of scent and lasting power which I am really impressed with.

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer – Fair (RRP £3.99)

“Conceals flaws, imperfections and blemishes for up to 16 hours. Water-resistent and transfer proof. Use with Lasting Perfection Foundation and Powder for the ultimate in long-lasting wear.”

I was in desperate need for some new concealer to cover up those pesky under eye circles and nothing seems to be touching them lately. I have had a couple of bad weeks with Scarlett as she has had 4 teeth coming through at the same time so her sleep has been all over the place, as well as 10 hour shifts at work so my eyes were definitely feeling the lack of sleep. I have seen this ‘Lasting Perfection Concealer’ featured quite a lot in Zoella’s Youtube videos, I have used many concealers but they have never provided the coverage I have needed to brighten up my dark circles. So after watching one of her videos I headed to Boots whilst picking up the Revlon nail polishes and grabbed one in the shade Fair. I got home and tested it out, I can definitely say I was impressed! it instantly brightened up my eye area making me look more awake and no more dark circles. The texture is quite thick and creamy but does not feel heavy under your eyes which I find great. As for longevity it literally lasts all day without any touch ups needed to the point of me taking my makeup off at night, I have also found that I have not needed any primer or having to set it. I have been using this non stop for the past couple of weeks and it has definitely creeped into my favourites, I shall definitely need to buy a couple of back ups.

Overall, I am extremely happy with my Boots purchases, I definitely need to pick up another couple of scents from the’ Revlon Parfumerie’ range – the lasting power and the scent definitely draws me in. The ‘Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer’ is definitely a win for me, I am really impressed with the coverage of this product, it definitely brightens my dark circles literally making them non existent! this product has been my favourite ever since purchasing it.

Have you used any of these products before? What did you think?

Glo & Ray

PicMonkey Collage (1)

I was kindly sent a few items to review of Glo & Ray from Focus PR, I have seen this brand quite a lot lately on people’s blogs and have read good things so I was really excited to try these out for myself. If you have not heard of Glo & Ray before then below gives you a gist of what the brand is about.

Glo & Ray is a British company which draws inspiration from the natural wonder of light. The name Glo & Ray is derived from ‘Glo’, a gentle luminance; and ‘Ray’, a vibrant beam of light. We look to harness each woman’s natural radiance to deliver a stunning collection designed to illuminate individual beauty.

With a host of media, bloggers and make-up artists testifying to the quality, colour and design of our exciting collection, the brand looks set for nationwide domination.”
I really like where the brand name Glo & Ray has driven from, it is really creative. I was allowed to look around their website and choose a couple of items that I would like to review, I was sent ‘Mariposa Quartet Eye Shadow’ palette in ‘Violet Emotion 400’ and ‘La Amo Creamy Shimmer Lip Colour’ in ‘Mysterious 640’ .
*La Amo Creamy Shimmer Lip Colour – Mysterious 640 (RRP 12)
Drench your lips with colour shine! Our La Amo creamy shimmer collection features a Light Colour Fitness Complex alongside Micro-Shine Particles to provide a dazzling effect for irresistibly fuller looking lips.

Enriched with pigment and with a shimmer finish, lips are left soft, moisturised and with a flash of colour.”

I am a sucker for a red lip at the minute, it really does compliment my pale skin so when I saw this shade on their website I knew I had to review it. When this arrived I was instantly amazed with the packaging, it is stunning, a lovely black matte box which feels high quality. This lipstick really does live up to it’s claims, I have incredibly dry lips especially during the winter so finding a lipstick that does not cling to the dryness is quite hard. This one glides across them with their creamy formula leaving them feeling moisturised and full of colour. The formula is also intensely pigmented which I love, it creates a strong bold lip which in my opinion looks absolutely amazing. The longevity of this lipstick also amazes me, I have found that it lasts throughout eating and drinking and is still there at the end of the day with only one touch up. I am really happy with this product and definitely have my eyes on a couple more shades!
*Mariposa Quartet Eye Shadow – Violet Emotion 400 (RRP £12)

“Combining vibrant pops of colours with delicate neutrals, the Mariposa eye shadow quartet offers the perfect mix to illuminate eyes with multiple effects.

Natural mineral particles create a silky texture which is both long-lasting and smudge-proof, achieving flawless radiance with perfect pigment.”

As I have mentioned before in a couple of blog posts I absolutely adore purple and grey so the choice of palette was a no brainer. Again the packaging of Glo & Ray products are stunning, it feels really expensive and high quality. The shades in the palette are highly pigmented with great lasting power, I wore one of the purple shades all day without any primer or touch ups needed. I also found that the eyeshadow also did not crease which is a godsend as most of what I wear do and it is definitely a huge pain in the arse!

Overall, I am absolutely in love with Glo&Ray’s products, from the packaging to the pigmentation it is all fantastic in my opinion. I shall definitely have to pick up a couple of other bits, on my wish list is their ‘Nebulae Fluid Foundation’ and ‘Ballon Pop Lasting Silky Eyeliner Set’.

Have you tried any products from Glo&Ray? What are your favourites?
