LUSH Cosmetics | Mini Haul

It’s been quite a while since i’ve done a Lush haul, my closest store now is Cardiff which isn’t that far away from where I live but I don’t tend to head that way often so when I was in Cardiff last week I HAD to go in store.

I’ve been wanting to pick up Sleepy which is one of Lush’s recent new products for quite some time but I was holding out until I could try it first hand. There’s been a lot of attention on this especially from mums saying how it’s worked wonders with helping their kids sleep so I grabbed a sample of it in store and loved it so I went ahead and purchased the 95g pot (£7.95).

Sleepy has a gentle oatmeal infusion, calming lavender flower and sweet tonka absolute, it smells pretty incredible! I’m not quite sure whether it makes the little one sleep better as she’s always been a pretty good sleeper anyway and always has anything between 10-12 hours a night but it does make her skin incredibly soft and leaves her smelling amazing.

I also grabbed the Lord of Misrule shower cream 250g (£10.75) which I tend to try and grab every year, it’s just a must have in my bathroom and I also grabbed the Lord of Misrule bath bomb (£3.95). Lord of Misrule has a herbal blend of patchouli, peppercorn and black pepper with an intriguing vanilla absolute sweetness, again with most Lush things it smells pretty darn incredible with the scent lingering on your skin hours after.

Lastly I grabbed the Secret Arts jelly bomb (£4.95), i’m a huge fan of anything spooky and Harry Potter so this is perfect! Secret Arts has cinnamon leaf oil, Brazilian orange oil and sweet almond essential oil. I’ve not yet tried this one i’m saving it for one of those much needed pamper days but the sound of cinnamon leaf oil is perfect for these colder nights.

ELF Cosmetics | Getting Your Lips Autumn Ready

I absolutely ADORE the autumn and winter months, so as soon as September approached I did a little squeal of excitement. Everything just feels SO much more cosier, give me all of the knitted jumpers, candles & hot chocolates.. cliche I know but I love it. Unfortunately for me what comes with the colder weather is dry lips so getting them autumn ready is essential!

A good lip scrub is definitely needed to try and tackle those pesky dry lips, I tended to reach for Lush’s Santa Baby Lip Scrub but it does tend to be quite dry and ends up all over your finger so when I was that ELF had their own lip scrub that came presented like a lipstick I NEEDED it.

I was kindly sent the *ELF Studio Lip Exfoliator (£4.50) in sweet cherry, as mentioned the lip exfoliator comes in a lipstick container which makes it SO much easier to apply and completely mess free. The product is creamy but yet gently exfoliates your lips removing any dry and chapped skin. The studio lip exfoliator is infused with Vitamin E, Shea Butter, Avocado, Grape and Jojoba Oils leaving you with that perfect base for any matte lipsticks!

This lip exfoliator has been a life saver, I have absolutely no problems what so ever when applying my matte lipsticks. My favourite go to autumn lipsticks have the be Kat Von D in Exorcism, Revlon Super Lustrous in Black Cherry, Sleek Makeup Matte Lipsticks in Vinto Tinto, Urban Decay in Disturbed and NYX Soft Matte Lip Creme in Havana.

How do you get your lips autumn ready? Do you have a favourite product?

TK Maxx | Nanshy Brushes

Remember the days as a teenager applying Dream Matte Mouse with your fingers? *cringes*, i’m glad that those days are definitely long gone and I use makeup brushes to apply my foundation. I have never tried Nanshy brushes before but always heard great things about them so when I spotted them in Tk Maxx I didn’t give them a second thought, they were straight in my basket.

I picked up the Nanshy Luxury Brush Set £19.99 which is supposed to be £36.95, the set contains 13 synthetic travel sized brushes. The set comes in a beautiful white case with a mixture of 4 face and 9 eye brushes which include powder/foundation brush, foundation brush, angled blush brush, powder brush, angled brow brush, liner brush, small shadow brush, crease brush, shadow brush, fluffy shadow blending brush, concealer brush, angled shadow brush and eyelash/eyebrow spoolie, an absolute bargain for £20!

The brushes have stunning white pearlescent handles which look elegant and instantly caught my eye. The set is smaller than their standard brushes but this makes perfect for when your travelling, the travel handy case and brushes are slightly bigger than purse size, they were absolutely perfect for when I recently visited London without taking up a lot of space *dances*.

All of Nanshy’s brushes are PETA approved which means that they are cruelty free and vegan, always a plus in my book.

With some makeup brushes from other brands they feel slightly rough and scratchy when applying your makeup but with this set there is absolutely no scratching what so ever, they feel SO soft against your skin, like feathers. The stippling brush is my absolute favourite, it allows you to create that flawless finish on your skin whether it be powder or liquid foundation, which to me is really important.

I would definitely recommend anyone grabbing one of these sets if you see them, I now need to get myself all of the brushes from Nanshy!

Lush Toothy Tabs!

Apologies for the lack of posts lately ladies & gents, I have been working block shifts so i’ve not really had time to do any blogging. I am hoping in a couple of weeks I shall get back into my blogging routine. Anyway, onto today’s post..

For the past month or so I have been trialing different Lush toothy tabs that they currently offer in their stores featuring Dirty, Sparkle, Atomic (£2.50) and many more.  If you don’t know what toothy tabs are then they are basically an natural alternative for toothpaste, you take one of the tabs and crush it inbetween your teeth to which they instantly froff up ready for you to brush your teeth.

I didn’t really toothy tabs such as Dirty and Sparkle in my opinion I couldn’t really taste anything but bicarbonate soda which for me was really off putting when brushing my teeth. I did however manage to settle with Atomic, being a huge cinnamon fan these were definitely the ones for me and no taste of bicarbonate soda in sight!

If your a follower of my blog then you will have probably seen my post on Lush Oxford Street, I saw that they had a whole new range of toothy tabs which included Miles of Smiles, Lime Light, Bling and Oral Pleasure. I went straight ahead and smelt Lime Light instantly falling in love with the citrusy scent, I HAD to buy these. When I finally got home after about 5 bloody hours of travelling I cracked the bottle open and tested these beauties out, my mouth was in heaven! They tasted so good, good enough to eat even, so brushing my teeth is now a joy and they’re cruelty free so what more could you want.

Finally just a quick note on packaging, I cannot thank whoever decided to swap to plastic containers enough, they are a godsend! I was constantly getting sick of my tabs going soft and damp due to the moisture in my bathroom and the previous cardboard packaging.

What’s your favourite Lush product?

LUSH Solid Perfumes

I have always been lured in with the Lush scent, I can smell the shop from a distance and I am always like a kid at christmas in the store. I shop at Lush on a regular basis and I pretty much have almost all my everyday products changed over.

As an everyday essential I use perfumes but only recently have I started using Lush perfumes so when I saw that there was some solid perfumes I had to grab a couple. I decided to grab the Dirty Solid Perfume (12g £6.50) as I have always loved the dirty range, the invigorating note of spearmint draws me in. I also picked up Vanillary (12g £7.00) the smell of vanilla just draws me in and makes me want to eat it, it is lovely and sweet but not overpowering which is what I like about this, to me this solid perfume has quite a creamy texture. This wonderful little pot contains fair trade vanilla absolute. Finally I picked up Sun (12g £5) after my trip down to Oxford Street a couple of weeks ago, we went through the perfume gallery and the room was set up like a beach hut, with a scene projected onto the screen. The atmosphere really complimented the fragrance and instantly uplifted my mood.

I have been using these solid perfumes rubbed behind my ears and on my wrists as these are your warm spots so throughout the day they warm up and radiate the fragrance.

Overall, I am really pleased with these little 12g pots of perfume, they are definitely a great handbag feature. The scent lingers all day without being sticky.

Lush Oxford Street Emotional Brilliance

If you have read my previous post you would know that I popped over to Lush Oxford Street at the weekend, if not then you can read it here. If you have been following Lush lately then you’ll know that the new flagship store on Oxford Street has recently just opened and have 200 exclusive products.

When I arrived I saw that they had updated their Emotional Brilliance line, they had finally brought out three new eyebrow products, an eyebrow crayon and a pomade. The eyebrow crayons are literally like Crayola crayons, which I find pretty cool, they come in Brun (brown) and Rogue (red) the colours are pretty much self explanatory a brown and red like tone. As mentioned above they have also released a pomade which I would have loved to get but they only had it in noir, which is definitely far too dark for me.

I decided to pick up the eyebrow crayon in Rogue (£7.00), as I thought it would suit the red tones in my hair. The crayon is really easy to add a burst of colour to your brows, the one thing I would say is it is quite hard to get any sharp and defined lines so if that’s what your after then this product is probably not for you. I absolutely love the reddy brown colour this adds, it isn’t the same shade as my eyebrow colour as they are dark brown but I think definitely suits my ombre hair. The one thing that I rather dislike about this crayon is that because it is quite waxy it tends to take a hair or two out, and for a person who over plucked when they were younger I don’t want to loose any more eyebrow hairs!

I also picked up one of their new exclusive lipsticks 50 Shades Of Red (£20.00) after I had it explained and swatched on my hand, I just had to buy it. This is basically a 4×4 block of lipstick, with shades of deep red, black and an orangey red so your able to create your own lipstick look. This block also came in nude and pink, which you can also use as a blusher. When one of the staff members swatched some of the lipsticks that I was able to create using this block I was totally in love, I was able to create a gorgeous deep red lipstick that I have lusted over for years! I use a lipstick brush to apply this to my lips leaving a gorgeous deep matte red look. The only disappointment about this product I have found is that it came in a little cardboard box, in my opinion it would have been a lot nicer if it had it’s own little tin so you don’t get lipstick all over your hands every time you use it though my partner solved that hurdle by making me a little styrene box for it.

The thing that I love about all the Emotional Brilliance products is that it is classed as face make up so you are able to use them for multiple things, such as lipstick as both eyeliner and eye shadow.

Overall, I really like this eyebrow crayon and I am so so glad they have finally brought an eyebrow range out but I really wish that they had a brown in the pomade, that would be better suited for me in my opinion. I am so in love with the 50 Shades Of Red lipstick block, it creates a deep red defined look which really does compliment my pale skin.

Lush Oxford Street

I was in London with my partner at the weekend to attend a toy convention that we go to every year, at the same time it was the opening of the biggest Lush store in the world, Lush Oxford Street. I really really wanted to attend as I have been following their Instagram for their new exclusive products, but obviously we had a super busy weekend planned.

On Sunday it was time to head home but we had a little time before needing to get to Victoria so we headed to Oxford Street to see if it was open but unfortunately it opened at 12pm and our coach back to Manchester was at 11am. We managed to get my sister to look after my little girl for a little longer and arranged a later coach time because how can you pass up visiting while your already there! as you may know from previous posts I am a huge Lush fan.

After lots of Costa finally the doors opened at 12pm, there was a little queue but the shop filled out quickly. Three whole stories of Lush goodness with 200 exclusive products, I was literally in heaven!

We had to rush around a little so we could definitely make the coach and spent a total of a hour and half around the different floors. The ground floor which was the entrance of the store consisted of skincare, haircare and makeup, the top floor had bath bombs, bubble bars, bath oils, fun and gift sets, and the basement had the lush spa, the perfume gallery also including fresh face masks, candles and perfumes.

Throughout the whole of the Lush store it was extremely well organised and brilliantly laid out in my opinion, I really loved the quirky features which ranged from modern and vintage my personal favourite being the copper piped sinks. The staff members were really welcoming which instantly made me feel at ease, they even took our suitcase in the back so we weren’t lugging a lot around whilst trying to look at all the products. This really made the experience 100 times better for us.

I literally almost went around sniffing EVERYTHING! I was in absolute awe with all the products. I really love that they have now decided to bring in new bottle and pot sizes, so now you can get small, medium, large and extra large, so you can get 1kg of your favourite shower gel! I seriously cannot express how excited I am that I can get 1kg of Comforter shower gel.. wow.

I already own quite a few makeup products, so it was really nice to see a bunch of new products in the store. One of the staff members showed me around the new products and talked through each of them, she was really informative and really friendly. Some of the new makeup line included eye brow products, eyeshadows, lipsticks and colour supplement.

As mentioned there was different floors that targeted certain products which was really good for those who only want certain things. The base floor included a perfume gallery which sounded really interesting, so we went to have a look.

Downstairs was instantly a lot more relaxing, we went into this dark entrance and given a pair of headphones which was playing music, the instructions were given to us before we left the room. Once we walked through the blacked out curtains we were greeted by a wall of screens, these we CCTV recordings of each of the rooms and what was happening in them, I must admit it was a little strange.

The next room had 3 smallish booths, SIKKIM GIRLS, The Voice Of Reason and Stayin’ Alive. We entered each of the booths, Sikkim Girls had the perfume vapour circling the room, we were instructed to put the headphones on and listen to the music whilst looking through the peep hole to a video. It was a strange experience, but with the music and scent in the room it made me feel quite relaxed. The second room was The Voice Of Reason, this room had a record player in again with the scent circling the room, the music played was quite jazzy reminding me of being in an old smoking bar as this is what the scent represents. The final booth was the Stayin’ Alive booth, we had afro wigs and accessories that we could put on and entered the disco booth where the Bee Gees were playing and we were able to snap a selfie to email to ourselves.

The next stage was for The Sun perfume, we walked into a beach styled room with a projected video on the wall, sandpits with deck chairs and a lovely beach hut styled seat. We had a sit down and a smell of the perfume, it made it feel really summery and instantly uplifted my mood.

The final room to me looked quite gallery like, there were three jugs with little glass bottles next to them on one side and then one jug and glass bottle on it’s own. The staff member talked through each bottle, they were three original perfumes with stories behind them which was really interesting to hear, we had the opportunity to test each out too. The bottle on it’s own was all three of these perfumes combined to make one, The Smell Of Freedom. Personally I wasn’t too keen on this, but I loved the whole experience of the perfume gallery, it was a really nice touch and definitely would recommend doing if your in the store.

I brought back a large bag full of Lush goodies and could definitely have spent a lot more time and bought a lot more exclusives. I shall also be reviewing the individual products I bought on a separate post. Overall, the experience was absolutely amazing the staff made it really enjoyable and a relaxed experience which definitely made a huge impact.

What exclusive are you wanting?

The Buddha Beauty Company

I have never heard of The Buddha Beauty before so I was interested to find out more, they are located in Manchester so they are quite local for me and a huge bonus is that they are cruelty free, vegan and gluten free. I was kindly sent this *Organic Sweet Orange Dry Body Oil (£9.50) to test out for myself. Straight out of the box I was impressed with the simplistic look of the packaging. The royal blue contrasts against the white and looks really nice along with the mustard yellow. As soon as I opened this bottle to give it a sniff I was blown away by just how amazing the smell is. It does not smell synthetic like a lot of high street brands do, it smells so pure and soothing. The natural ingredients included are: Almond oil and Sweet Orange Essential oil which makes me happy as it contains no perfumes and no preservatives.

To use this product you “Hold the bottle around 30cm away form your skin and spray a light layer all over your body paying particular attention to any dry areas of skin, after a few moments the oil will dry leaving your skin silky smooth” This is a really nice product because like it says above it does not leave an oily film on your body and skin which a huge plus because it means I can pick up my daughter without her slipping out of my hands. My skin feels absolutely amazing after using this and the smell of orange lingers on my skin for hours.

This 250ml bottle is definitely going to last me a long time as with it being an atomiser on top it means that barely any is used per spray but still goes a very long way, overall I am very happy with this product and definitely think I will be picking up more from the Bhudda Beauty store due to them being such reasonable prices and all natural products.

The incredible jar of Lush soap!

“Ive got a jar of soap, I’ve got a jar of soap, and guess what’s inside it”

I have been thinking of doing a bowl of soap for quite a while after watching Vampire Diaries (i’m slightly obsessed with it). Those who have watched the show will know that Damon has a big vase of different soaps where he hides the moonstone and after watching that episode I had to make my own, so who better than Lush to provide the sudsy goodness as I am obsessed with their products.

I scrolled through the Lush website to seek out what soaps I wanted and sent my partner into work for them all! And wow does the jar smell AMAZING!

A couple of the soaps I already had to hand, such as Yog Nog which is packed with cinnamon and was one of the exclusive soaps at christmas (I could seriously eat it!). I also had some Baked Alaska (another christmas exclusive) which looks so vibrant with its blocks of colour and the citrus scent is so uplifting I can not wait until next christmas to stock up again! Another one of my favourite soaps in this jar is the Cupid’s Love Soap (£4.25) which you can see in my previous post. I needed another block of this as it only available for a limited time and smells absolutely amazing with the passion fruit and bergamot oil, its definitely one of my favourites from the valentines range.

As for new purchases for the jar I decided to grab the Dirty Soap (£4.10). My partner is obsessed with the Dirty Body Spray (£15) and it seriously smells amazing so trying the soap too was a no brainer. The soap is refreshing leaving you feeling uplifted and ready for the day due to menthol and sandalwood.

Ice Blue (£3.10) is such a great soap for the bathroom, it really reminds me of toothpaste as it has peppermint oil in it which means you are left with a lovely tingling sensation on your skin. This soap contains fine sea salt which softens your skin as well as sweet wild orange oil and bergamot oil to “put a zing in your step”.

Next up is Miranda (£3.40) which after reading the description I was in love with and the design of this soap is simple yet gorgeous. The soap is packed with kiwi and refreshing citrus oils (can you see an obsessive citrus theme developing!). This soap is also great as it is full of natural fruit enzymes that helps to break down dead skin cells in turn getting rid of that dull skin and leaving a brighter more vibrant glow. Sea Vegetable (£3.10) was another one for the jar, I have had this soap a few times before and absolutely loved it as reminds me of the sunny seaside. It is a mineral-rich seaweed soap leaving your skin feeling incredibly soft, not only that it smells AMAZING too.

Magnificent (£4.00) is one that I very much love as its a pure block of heaven packed full of mango, lemon oil, mandarin oil and neroli, leaving you feeling squeaky clean. I can surely say that this soap is magnificent (I hope you find that as amusing as I did). Oh my wow Sandstone (£3.40) is outstanding! I loved the sound of the description as it mentions that it “brings to mind the beaches of Brazil.” doesn’t that just sound heavenly? Its so nice to have a soap that exfoliates as well as it cleans which is the thanks to the sand that is packed throughout.

Last but not least is The Godmother (£3.10)! I saw this soap quite a while ago but never thought to pick it up, I love the stunning pink colour and that the soap shares it’s scent with Snow Fairy, so if you love that then you are definitely going to love this. Unfortunately Snow Fairy is only available for the christmas period so you can use this to feed your addiction.

Phew, we made it! Have you tried any of these soaps before? What is your favourite one to make you squeaky clean?

LUSH Haul Part 1

Just before christmas me and my partner bought a huge LUSH haul for our christmas present and went all out using his 50% staff discount! There was a few bits that I have seen quite a few times and really wanted to try out so I thought that I would purchase them now.

Pop Gift Set (RRP £49.50 – No Longer Available)

“This one is a must for bath bomb fanatics! Pop open the box to discover ten different bath bombs packed with fizz, sparkle, popping candy and calming fragrances – and bursting with a kaleidoscope of colours.”

I am a sucker for bath times it is just the most perfect place to unwind and relax so my addiction to LUSH products go hand in hand, making this gift set perfect for me. This box is jam packed with LUSH’s 10 most popular bath bombs and I can definitely see why!

Avobath (RRP £3.35)

“Avobath in the morning to help you face the day: its lemongrass and bergamot oils will pick you up while also tackling dryness with avocado and olive oil. It contains lustre, which gives a shimmering green effect to the water, but will leave your skin feeling dazzling without the dazzle. It also contains lots of mashed avocado and olive oil to tackle dehydration, making this an excellent choice for dry skin sufferers.”

I have heard really good things about this bath bomb so I was definitely excited to see that this was included in the box. Especially as I have been back at work my hands get incredibly dry from wearing gloves all day so the mashed avocado will definitely perk them up.

Granny Takes A Dip (RRP £3.35)

“This ginger, pepper and lemon-scented bath bomb turns your water psychedelic and puts some colour in your life. Simply drop into a warm bath and watch as its fizzing centre dissolves into multi-coloured waters. Its spicy, citrusy scent will pep you up: lemon oil boosts the mood, while ginger and pepper are warming.”

I love psychedelic colours, it makes it look so pretty quite like northern lights! so again another perfect bath bomb for me. Filling your bath with streams of colour leaving your bathroom smelling gorgeous from the citrus scents.

Phoenix Rising (RRP £3.35)

“A mystical, shimmering purple and green layered bath bomb that rises in the water on a cloud of exotic spice fragrance. When your skin is feeling over-cooked and in desperate need of hydration, the luxurious blend of cocoa and shea butters will have you rising out of the bath with soft, luscious skin. Its rich, cinnamon fragrance will also lift your mood if you’re feeling out of sorts.”

I have had my eye on this bath bomb for quite a while as I absolutely adore the smell of cinnamon – it definitely makes me not want to get out of the bath. This bath bomb leaves your skin feeling amazingly soft afterwards due to the blend of cocoa and shea butters.

Sex Bomb (RRP £3.35)

“When you’ve got that feeling – tired, stressed out and anxious – you need some sensual healing. The fragrant blend of jasmine, ylang ylang and clary sage will soon have you relaxed and feeling in the mood… Jasmine is an ancient aphrodisiac, used as a sensual perfume in India for centuries and in aromatherapy to ease stress and anxiety. Clary sage clears the mind, while ylang ylang is renowned for soothing worries.”

I absolutely adore the scent of this bath bomb, it leaves my bath water a gorgeous colour and so silky. Though the petals were clumpy and did not dissolve so I have to scoop them out, but non the less this still has to be one of my favourite bath bombs.

Honey Bee (RRP £3.35)

“A good soak in a Honey Bee bath will soothe and cleanse the skin thanks to its wonder trio of honey, aloe vera, and rhassoul mud, a clay mined near Morocco’s Atlas Mountains. Honey is a wonder ingredient that soothes, retains moisture and is antiseptic, and we add plenty of cooling aloe vera, too. Rhassoul mud has natural cleansing properties, and also helps condition and soften the skin.”

Honey Bee is one that I am not so keen on unfortunately, I just do not think it does anything for me which mainly might be down to that it leaves the water yellow which does not look very inviting.

Blackberry (RRP £3.35)

“As soon as you drop this into your bath, tension is banished as the bergamot and frankincense oils are released. Bergamot is used in aromatherapy for anxiety, depression and nervous tension, and is both relaxing and uplifting as well as antibacterial. You’ll soon feel calmed as frankincense oil helps slow down breathing and induces a feeling of wellbeing.”

I have been waiting for the right moment to use this bath bomb, but it definitely ticks all the right boxes so far! especially as it turns your bath water purple.

Dragons Egg (No Longer Available)

“Dragon’s Egg makes bathtime exciting as it fizzes and crackles and changes the colour of your water to a gorgeous citrusy gold. Its scent is reminiscent of lemon sherbet, with a hint of jasmine, leaving you feeling great and ready for a good day. Its citrus scents leave you feeling transformed and invigorated.”

I absolutely adore this bath bomb, it is full of surprises. I am a huge fan of LUSH’s citrus scents so upon first reading the description of this I definitely needed buy this again.

Fizzbanger (RRP £3.35)

“A Catherine wheel of a bath bomb. It changes colour as it fizzes, crackling with popping candy as it goes and releasing first a citrussy apple and then a cinnamon, apple pie like scent with a hint of ylang ylang. Petitgrain is used in aromatherapy to calm the breathing, slow the heartbeat and reduce feelings of anxiety. Ylang ylang produces a feeling of joy, and cinnamon leaf oil helps you let go.”

Another of my favourite scents is cinnamon, but citrus and cinnamon in one bath bomb I was not too sure on. Though that said this bath bomb smells absolutely divine leaving me feeling well and truly stress free and pampered. Another reason I love bath bombs is the colours, with this bomb it turns your water into a gorgeous blend of blue, greens and yellow.

Twilight (RRP £3.35)

“If sleep is evading you, this combination of essential oils will help get you ready for a good night’s rest. As Twilight dissolves, it turns from the colour of the setting sun and gets darker, turning your water a shimmering deep purple. The fragrance has been designed to help you sleep: lavender is a soothing, mind-clearing and calming fragrance, used in aromatherapy to treat insomnia and aid restful sleep, while benzoin and tonka call to mind a milky caramel malt drink.”

This is another bath bomb that I have heard good things about, and it has definitely not disappointed. I absolutely adore the deep purple it turns your bath water into – did I mention I love purple!? It definitely gets you ready to climb into bed afterwards.

Think Pink (RRP £2.65)

“A relaxing pink bath bomb with a sweet vanilla and tonka fragrance. As it dissolves, you’ll feel as though you’re getting a big hug – you’ll find yourself surrounded by rice paper confetti hearts that slowly melt away. Its sweet scent comes from Fair Trade vanilla absolute, while tonka adds a caramel undertone. Neroli gives it a sunny citrus top note, while lavender clears your mind and makes you feel that life is sweet.”

When I used this bath bomb I did not read up on it so the little confetti hearts were a lovely surprise. This gift box is definitely packed with some amazing bath bombs!

Jackie Oates Foundation (RRP £9.50)

“This is ideal for smoothing those with pale complexions that need soothing. It’s made with oat milk as a base, which helps to calm skin down, to which we’ve added loads of nurturing shea butter, honey, aloe vera and glycerine to hydrate and even out tone. As pale skins need to be careful in the sunshine, we’ve added titanium dioxide. Mix a little with your favourite moisturiser and apply to clean skin evenly.”

I have been using MAC Studio Fix until about a month ago as I want to try and convert my everyday products to cruelty free. I must say that I am impressed with this, it is perfect for my skin tone which I find extremely hard to match with drug store foundations as I find it still gives a yellowish tint. The foundation feels super light, looks natural and is totally natural. The only thing is that it does not cover over those pesky red spots but that is nothing a little concealer will not fix. I have also found that it stays put throughout the day without making my face oily.

Light Pink Foundation (RRP £9.50)

“For those fair of face, this is our second lightest colour supplement. This works wonders evening out complexions while protecting and nurturing. We blend in the pigment to a cream base of gentle rose petal infusion, which helps to reduce redness, vitamin E-rich rice bran oil for adding moisture, and titanium dioxide to help protect the skin from the sun. Mix a little with your favourite moisturiser and apply to clean skin evenly.”

I bought this as I was not quite sure which foundation tone matched my skin but I thought that it would look great mixed with Jackie Oates if I wanted to brighten up my skin tone. The foundation again is light weight, super bendable and does not look cakey. I generally apply this with a brush blending it into my face paying particular attention to my dark circles and spots.
Tea Tree Water – Toner Water 250g (£7.95)
“Keep skin clear and refreshed. Tea tree is antibacterial, antifungal and antimicrobial, so can help keep away the bacteria that can cause spots. Grapefruit is rich in vitamins and is also lightly astringent on the skin, whilst juniperberry is antiseptic and helps keep skin clean and clear. Use any time of day to keep skin refreshed, or to remove traces of makeup or cleanser.”
I tend to use this after removing my makeup to clear my skin and to try and prevent spots appearing. I absolutely love the smell of this toner water, it leaves my skin feeling refreshed and oil free.
Have you used any of these products before? What is your favourite?
